Military attachés to Vietnam visit Brigade 147

At the reception for the mission, Commanding Officer of Brigade 147 Senior Captain Duong Huy Thong briefed the visiting attachés on the unit’s establishment, development, tradition, missions, and achievements over the past time.

Brigade 147 is one of the important forces of the Vietnam People’s Navy. The unit is tasked to train and protect national sovereignty over sea and islands in Northeast region. The unit also helps people respond to natural disasters and overcome consequences.

Over the past 44-year construction and development, Brigade 147 has been honored with various noble orders by the Party, State, Ministry of National Defense, and Naval Command for its outstanding achievements in national construction and defense cause.

Senior Captain Duong Huy Thong hoped that military attachés in Vietnam will make more contribution to strengthening the friendship and cooperation between the Vietnamese military and Vietnam People’s Navy and their militaries and navies in practical and intensive manner.

On behalf of the visiting delegation, Colonel Prapard Iamolee expressed delight at visiting Brigade 147 and affirmed that the visit was beneficial to each member of the mission and contributed to strengthening mutual friendship and understanding between the Vietnam People’s Army and its partners.

He emphasized that the mission of military attachés to Vietnam hopes to have more opportunity to visit and exchange with units of the Vietnam People’s Army in the coming time.

Within the framework of the visit, the mission visited and watched troops of Brigade 147 performing obstacle crossing and martial arts.
