Senior Colonel Le Van Quyet, MR2’s Deputy Director of the Technical Department, chaired the event.

During the visit, Sr. Col. Le Van Quyet briefed the delegates on the function, tasks and outstanding outcomes of MR2’s technical sector in general and the Department of Standards, Metrology and Quality in particular.

Sr. Col. Quyet underlined that agencies and units of MR2’s Technical Department are willing to share experience with the Lao side to gradually apply to reality, thereby improving the quality of technical work at their agencies or units.

During the visit to Workshop X78 and the Station of Measurement and Verification, the Lao delegation was provided with information related to the process of verifying and repairing several measuring instruments; steps to check the quality of some types of infantry weapons; and test military vehicles, to name but a few.
