Speaking at the meeting with the Lao officers, Deputy Political Commissar of the Military Technical Academy Major General Tran Van Duy affirmed the close and time-honored neighboring relationship between the two countries. He said that the relations have been built by sweat, blood, flesh and bones of generations of leaders, heroic martyrs, and eminent people of the two countries, including officials, instructors, staff, and cadets of the Military Technical Academy.

Apart from providing training for Vietnamese learners, the Military Technical Academy annually trains hundreds of Lao students.

Since 2018, the Military Technical Academy has trained more than 160 students for the Lao People's Army, building a contingent of high-quality military technical officers for Laos. Many Lao comrades hold important positions in the Lao People's Army after completing training courses at the academy.

Major General Tran Van Duy affirmed that the academy highly appreciated the visit of the Lao young officers. He said that the visit demonstrated the good sentiment between the two sides and helped build trust in preserving and developing good neighborliness, traditional friendship, solidarity, and comprehensive, sustainable, long-term cooperation between Vietnam and Laos and between the Vietnam People's Army and the Lao People's Army.

The activity was also to educate youths of the two countries and raise determination of young officers of the two militaries in preserving and developing the great relationship, special solidarity. It was an opportunity for the two sides to exchange and share experience in training young officers.
