PANO – The International Fleet Review 2016 successfully concluded after five days at Visakhapatnam port in India on February 8th.

Addressing the closing ceremony, representatives from participating navies thanked for the warm reception of the host navy and local people in Visakhapatnam.

Also the same day, the two-day international navigation seminar was wrapped up. At the workshop, the participants especially underlined respect for the international law in ensuring navigation, aviation freedom in waters, raising the sense of maritime environmental protection, and boosting cooperation in search and rescue missions.

At the evening of the previous day, the Indian Navy conducted a combat and search-rescue performances, and the international participating delegations joined a road demonstration at Ramakrishna Beach in the presence of the Indian President.

On February 9th, Vietnamese frigate 001 Dinh Tien Hoang and warships from other navies were escorted by the host vessels to leave Visakhapatnam port.
