Gia Lai Border Guard Command, Ratanakiri Military Sub-Region hold talks
PANO - On February 9, in Pleiku ward (Gia Lai province), a delegation of the Gia Lai provincial Border Guard Command, led by its Commanding Officer Senior Colonel Tran Tien Hai, held talks with a delegation of the Ratanakiri provincial Military Sub-Region (Cambodia), led by its Commander Major General Mui So Phat.
During the talks, both sides highly valued the recent coordination results between the Gia Lai provincial Border Guard Command and the Ratanakiri Military Sub-Region. The units have effectively managed and protected the border while successfully combating law violations, breaches of border regulations, and various types of crimes.

Subordinate units of both sides have maintained regular meetings and information exchanges, timely handling border incidents in a spirit of trust, solidarity, friendship, and respect for each other’s sovereignty. They have also promoted dissemination work to encourage border residents to strictly abide by the Agreement on Border Regulations. Additionally, regular mutual visits and exchanges in culture, arts, and sports have been organized to strengthen solidarity and friendship.

On behalf of the Ratanakiri armed forces, Major General Mui So Phat expressed deep gratitude for the sincere assistance of the Gia Lai provincial Border Guard Command in coordinating border management and protecting the status quo of the border section and border markers, in accordance with the legal documents signed by the two Governments. He emphasized the long-standing bond and sustainable friendship built on mutual respect.
The Cambodia general expressed his belief that the border protection forces of both sides would stand firm against all challenges and work closely together to build a shared borderline of peace, stability, and development.
