Free health check-ups and medicine distribution program launched for Cambodian people

The initiative is part of the first-ever Vietnam - Laos - Cambodia Border Defense Friendship Exchange, scheduled to take place in December within the shared border region of the three provinces of Kon Tum (Vietnam), Attapeu (Laos), and Ratanakiri (Cambodia).

Addressing the event, Senior Colonel Le Van Dong, Deputy Head of the Department of Military Medicine of the General Department of Logistics of the Vietnam People’s Army, emphasized the long-standing traditional friendship between Vietnam and Cambodia. He highlighted how this relationship has been nurtured by generations of leaders, armed forces, and people of both countries over decades, continually developing across various sectors, particularly in defense cooperation. Providing free health check-ups and medicines to Cambodian people has contributed significantly to reinforcing and enhancing the bond between the people and armed forces of Vietnam and Cambodia, and specifically within the military medicine field.
