Reportedly, over the past time, young border forces of 10 Vietnamese border provinces have worked closely with border protection forces of nine Cambodian provinces while promoting their pioneering role in border protection and management. The two sides contributed to realizing the policies of the two parties, states, defense ministries, and border guards while deepening the relations between the two border forces, building the borderline of peace, solidarity, cooperation and development. Besides, the two young border forces also conducted joint patrol to control and address any arising issues in border areas as well as fight against crimes in international border gates and border areas.

Amid the complicated developments of the COVID-19 pandemic, the young Vietnamese border forces provided medical support to the Cambodian side, totally worth more than VND 7 billion.

During the event, many young border officers of the two countries delivered speeches to promote the pioneering role of the young border forces in the coming time.

Addressing the exchange, Lieutenant General Tien Sophonrnvong from Cambodia hailed the two countries over the past years.

For his part, Senior Colonel Nguyen Quoc Cuong highlighted the important contribution of both sides in the task performance of each unit, contributing to building the Vietnam-Cambodia borderline of peace, solidarity, cooperation, and development.

He also expressed his hope that the young border forces of the two countries would preserve and uphold the traditions of their forefathers, contributing to firmly protecting national sovereignty over border areas.
