Within the Vietnam People’s Army, women constitute an important component of the armed forces and have made significant contribution across various fields. In particular, Vietnamese servicewomen have directly participated in U.N. peacekeeping operations, taking on positions that require a high level of professional expertise, courage, discipline, and the ability to work effectively in multinational environments.
Featuring three discussion sessions, the workshop helped reaffirm Vietnam’s role as an active and responsible member state in implementing the U.N.’s WPS agenda. It also clarified the need to closely integrate digital transformation, gender equality, and the goals of peace and security of each country and the international community, considering this integration as an essential component in building a modern, humane, and internationally integrated military.
