In response, Senior Captain Nguyen Dinh Giang thanked the Royal Brunei Navy for their warm reception. He emphasized that in recent years, the cooperation between the Vietnam People's Navy and the Royal Brunei Navy has continuously developed. In December 2013, the naval commanders of both countries signed a memorandum of understanding on bilateral cooperation, which included the establishment of a hotline between the Vietnamese and Brunei navies. Both sides always support and assist each other in regional events.
