Delegation of Sailing Vessel 286 pays courtesy call on Royal Brunei Navy leaders
PANO - As part of their visit and exchange with the Royal Brunei Navy, on July 29 (local time), the delegation of Sailing Vessel 286 - Le Quy Don from the Vietnam Naval Academy, led by Senior Captain Nguyen Dinh Giang, Deputy Director of the Vietnam Naval Academy, paid a courtesy call on Captain Khairil Haji Abdul Rahman, Acting Deputy Commander of the Royal Brunei Navy.
Colonel Nguyen Ngoc Huan, Vietnamese Defense Attaché to Brunei, also attended the event.

During the reception, Captain Khairil Haji Abdul Rahman affirmed that the visit and exchange by the delegation of Sailing Vessel 286 - Le Quy Don were significant, contributing to strengthening the sound relationship between the Royal Brunei Navy and the Vietnam People's Navy.
He also expressed his belief that this was a favorable opportunity for sailors, young officers, and cadets from both navies to meet, exchange, and share their learning and working experience.

In response, Senior Captain Nguyen Dinh Giang thanked the Royal Brunei Navy for their warm reception. He emphasized that in recent years, the cooperation between the Vietnam People's Navy and the Royal Brunei Navy has continuously developed. In December 2013, the naval commanders of both countries signed a memorandum of understanding on bilateral cooperation, which included the establishment of a hotline between the Vietnamese and Brunei navies. Both sides always support and assist each other in regional events.

According to the plan, on July 30, the cadets of the Vietnam Naval Academy visit and participate in sports competition with cadets of the Royal Brunei Navy.
