The Vietnamese Defense Minister welcomed General Tea Seiha, noting that Party General Secretary To Lam’s recent visits to Cambodia and Laos - his first overseas trip of the 14th Congress term - underscore Vietnam’s "top priority" for these neighbors. This mission aims to catalyze a new developmental phase for bilateral and trilateral military ties. In response, General Tea Seiha expressed confidence that the visit’s success will deepen defense cooperation, fostering regional stability and solidarity.
The ministers lauded the success of 2025 bilateral defense cooperation, notably the second Vietnam - Cambodia Border Defense Friendship Exchange. Vietnam’s Defense Minister invited General Tea Seiha and Cambodian defense delegations to the 2026 Vietnam Defense Expo. He also invited the General to Hanoi late this year for the trilateral defense ministers' meeting and joint military exercises, aimed at implementing agreements between Vietnam, Laos, and Cambodia.
