The ceremony was chaired by Major General Chiem Thong Nhat, Deputy Commander and Chief of Staff of Military Region 9, and saw the presence of General Suos Sina, Deputy Commander of the Bodyguard Command of the Royal Cambodian Armed Forces.

During three months of training, 50 Cambodia trainees were provided with knowledge and skills in military regulations, physical fitness, martial arts, mastery of military terrain, marksmanship techniques, and specialized tactical operations. All trainees completed the course with flying colors.
In his closing remarks, Gen. Nhat affirmed that military training cooperation contributed to consolidating the traditional solidarity and friendship between the Vietnam People’s Army and the Royal Cambodian Armed Forces, based on equality, mutual respect, understanding and shared development across various fields.
On this occasion, Military Region 9 awarded 22 trainees with outstanding achievements in this short-term course.
* The same day, the Air Force Officer Candidate School held a graduation ceremony for Cambodian military helicopter pilot trainees of the 8th course.
The course was conducted with renewed training curriculum and methods toward standardized learning outcomes, adopting a learner-centered approach, increasing practical flight training while ensuring absolute flight safety. Special attention was also paid to improving the trainees’ command of the Vietnamese language.

As a result, all trainees met graduation requirements, with 80 percent achieving credit results, fully meeting the demand for helicopter pilot personnel of the Royal Cambodian Armed Forces.
The course reaffirmed the quality and reputation of the Air Force Officer Candidate School in international military pilot training, while also contributing to strengthening solidarity, friendship and defense cooperation between Vietnam and Cambodia.
