Courses to improve Lao officers’ expertise wrapped up
PANO - The General Department of Political Affairs (GDP) of the Vietnam People’s Army on November 14 held a ceremony to close a refresher course on women affairs for women’ union cadres of the Lao People’s Army.

During the one-month course, which met all set plans, 19 Lao female cadres were provided with basic knowledge of the affairs. They also participated in six field trips to Vietnamese units, during which they eye-witnessed models, exchanged experience with Vietnamese peers. These trips were significant for them to compare theory and practice, and boost self-study.
Addressing the closing ceremony, Head of the Military Women Advisory Board Senior Colonel Phung Thi Phu underlined that the success of the refresher course demonstrated the sentiments, responsibility, solidarity, and mutual understanding of military women of the two countries, thus shining the two militaries and peoples’ tradition of special friendship, solidarity, close-knit attachment.
The same day, the Military Science Information Center under the Ministry of National Defense held a closing ceremony for a training course on military science information and information technology (IT) for 14 cadres and cadets from the Lao People’s Army.
According to the organizing panel, the one-month course completed all set contents and programs.

During the training period, the Lao trainees learned about the process of gathering military science information and how to build and manage military science information-related activities. They were also provided with knowledge of journalism, reporting and editing, recording skills, and other IT knowledge and techniques.
At the closing ceremony, the leaders of the Military Science Information Center presented graduation certificates to the Lao trainees.
