An overview of the rehearsal

On September 12, Deputy Defense Minister Senior Lieutenant General Hoang Xuan Chien directed the rehearsal for the opening ceremony of the program at the National Military Training Center No.4.

Gen. Chien thanked the delegations from the host and ADMM+ countries for their active and responsible participation in the events, thus ensuring it a success.

Deputy Chief of the General Staff of the Vietnam People’s Army Sr. Lt. Gen. Phung Si Tan hails relevant agencies and units for their preparations for the program.

He hoped that during the program, peacekeeping experience will be shared among engineering and medical forces and military observers, making them ready for the the upcoming tasks at U.N. missions. He also expressed his hope that Vietnam will receive support from ASEAN+ countries for this competency evaluation program and for its peacekeeping activities in the coming time.

Apart from checking the last preparations for the event, Gen. Chien and his entourage visited Vietnamese and ADMM+ peacekeepers who were actively making through preparations for theoretical training, practical training, and integrated exercise at Engineering Battalion 31 of Brigade 28 under the Air Defense - Air Force Service.

He visited instructors for military observers and wished them to have good and interesting experience during the event. Japanese instructors expressed their impressions on the thorough preparations from the host Vietnam and believed that the program will help participants boost their coordination, contributing to effective U.N. peacekeeping operations in the future.
