During the working visit, the two sides signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) on medical cooperation to promote human resource development and to raise quality of healthcare and treatment for patients.

The US’s Mayo Clinic will help the St. Paul Hospital to apply stem cell transplantation in hematology, blood transfusion, orthopedic surgery, and neurosurgery.

Under the newly-signed MoU, US professors will come to Vietnam to give lectures to Vietnamese medical workers while doctors and nurses of the St. Paul Hospital will be sent to study at Mayo Clinic.
