PANO – The President of the Vietnam Union of Friendship Organizations (VUFO) Vu Xuan Hong on February 27th granted Vietnam’s Friendship Medal to Director of the Russian Centre of Science and Culture in Hanoi Lavrenev Alexey Yurievich, in acknowledgement of his contributions to strengthening the traditional friendship and comprehensive strategic partnership relations between the two countries.

Since taking office ten years ago, the Russian has actively worked with Vietnamese organs, the VUFO and the Vietnam-Russia Friendship Association to organize political, cultural, art, science-technology and education activities in Vietnam, which has helped bring together Russian and Vietnamese people.
At the ceremony, the Russian expressed his honour to receive the medal, saying that the medal was Vietnam’s acknowledgement of his achievements and the Russian Centre of Science and Culture as well.
