He expressed hope that this cooperation will deepen and expand across various sectors, such as artificial intelligence (AI), semiconductor ecosystem, financial innovation, digital payment, space technology, renewable energy, biotechnology, disaster resilience technologies and, especially, the peaceful use of atomic energy as both countries are carrying out their joint statement to progress toward becoming developed nations.

Karandikar concurred with Hai’s proposals, underscoring the deep historical ties between Vietnam and India and the abundant opportunities for stronger sci-tech collaboration.

He urged both countries to intensify direct coordination in science and technology as previous engagements have largely taken place within the ASEAN partnership framework.

Concluding the meeting, both sides agreed on the necessity for additional working sessions at different levels to expedite the signing of practical agreements.
