3.5 tones of Vietnam’s Cat Chu mangoes have been exported to Japan, Nguyen Trung Dung, trade counselor at the Vietnamese Embassy in Japan has said.
As planned, Vietnamese mangoes will be sold at 209 branches of Aeon Mall in Japan at from 429 Yen (around VND 77,000) to 645 Yen (VND 116,000) per a mango.
The trade counselor also said that by late this year, more 80 tones of fresh mangoes of Vietnam would be exported to Japan by air and sea.
Addressing the opening ceremony of a mango selling stall at Aeon Mall’s branch in Chiba Prefecture, a representative of Aeon Mall said that mangoes are favourite fruit of Japanese people. He believed that Vietnam’s Cat Chu mangoes would be the best choice of Japanese thanks to its sweet taste and reasonable price.
The presence of Cat Chu mangoes in the heart to please market of Japan is a great success of Vietnam in the effort to export its agricultural products to the market. Earlier, Vietnam’s pitaya was also exported to Japan.
