Bui Xuan Khu, Deputy Minister of Industry and Trade, has recently signed a decision to approve a human resource training programme for Vietnam’s textile and garment industry which will last until 2015, as well as a vision to 2020.
Under the plan, Vietnam will focus on training and developing a contingent of managers for the current integration process.
It is estimated that in the 2008-2020 period the country will need around 11,330 managers, 29,500 economists, 30,400 engineers, and over 990,000 technicians.
