Viettel hands over scholarships to needy students in Gia Lai

At the event, Major Phung Van Man, Director of Viettel Gia Lai, handed over 720 scholarships, worth VND 2 million each, to a representative from the provincial Department of Education and Training.

After that, the department will work with Viettel Gia Lai and local authorities to grant these scholarships to needy students with good academic records in the province.

This is the 10 consecutive year that Viettel Gia Lai has given financial assistance to the province’s education sector. So far, around 7,200 scholarships have been presented to local students by Viettel Gia Lai.

In addition, Viettel Gia Lai also spent tens of billions of VND building infrastructure and providing education management software to 672 schools and education institutes in Gia Lai province.

“Viettel Gia Lai wants to stand side by side with local education sector to raise education quality and support students, especially those from ethnic minority groups,” the director underlined.
