This first system of its kind, studied and made in Vietnam, is a realization of the signed agreement on IT application last year between Viettel and the Vietnam Road Administration as signatories.

Under the agreement, Viettel has studied, designed and manufactured the car driving simulator, using modern equipment and applying new technologies such as real time dynamic simulation technology, Warp & Blend multiple projectors, and algorithms of controlling 3-6 degrees of the freedom movement simulation structure. With these advanced technologies, the simulator can help driving learners with the look and feel of driving while studying driving.

The VOTO system provides basic to advanced training programs for different learners.

Nguyen Vu Ha, the Corporation’s General Director, said that Viettel is a key supplier of military simulators, such as tank-crew training and flight simulators. The group has made use of its acquired experiences in developing the VOTO system. With the advantages of self-study and production, Viettel can adjust the system according to terrains and requirements of driving test centers.

With three VOTO versions, namely VOTO Desktop, VOTO Standard, and VOTO Full, Viettel hopes to bring real experiences to different driving learners.

According to Circular No.38 issued by the Ministry of Transport on October 8, 2019, since January 1, 2021, car driver training centers must use software and cabins simulating traffic situations in training, testing, and issuing driving licenses. It helps driving learners gain real experiences before driving a real car, contributing to reducing traffic accidents caused by inexperienced drivers during training. Developed countries, such as the U.S., Japan, and Singapore, have also applied car driving simulation models to training, testing and issuing driving licenses.
