Viettel branch presents scholarships in Dak Lak
PANO – The military-run Telecommunications Corporation (Viettel)’s Branch in Dak Lak province, in association with the provincial Department of Education and Training, on September 11, held a ceremony to present 460 valuable scholarships to poor students with good academic records in the province.
At the ceremony, the organizing panel disbursed 110 scholarships, worth VND 1 million each, to disadvantaged students with good school grades in M’Drak district, while they also presented books, notebooks and other necessary study tools to the students.
In 2017, the Viettel Branch in Dak Lak province will continue to present these highly-prized scholarships to needy students in the province.
The corporation launched this worthy scholarship program entitled “For students with good academic records” four years ago, with the aim of helping disadvantaged students to overcome economic difficulties and encourage them to remain in their studies. From 2014 to 2016, the corporation presented 1,320 scholarships, worth VND 1 million each, to disadvantaged students with good academic achievements in various localities.
