Naval troops and Viettel join hands to build new-style rural areas
PANO – Troops of Naval Region 2, in association with the Ba Ria – Vung Tau provincial Military Command, the Military Industry-Telecoms Group (Viettel)'s Ba Ria - Vung Tau Branch (Viettel Ba Ria - Vung Tau), the Hospital of Pediatrics No.2 of Ho Chi Minh City and local youths, launched a mass mobilization program on October 20 in Lang Lon commune, Chau Duc district.
During the event, medical personnel of the hospital offered free healthcare, medicines and gifts, worth VND 75 million, to over 300 needy patients in the locality.

Additionally, the Naval Region 2 Command and Viettel Ba Ria - Vung Tau handed over 30 gifts worth VND 15 million in total to needy students in the area.
Meanwhile, over 300 participants joined hands to clear out bushes and dredge nearly 5 kilometers of canals along inter-village roads in Lang Lon commune.
The program was in response to the campaigns of “The whole nation joins hands to build new-style rural areas” and “The whole country joins hands for the needy - No one is left behind.”
