Military bank offers incense to fallen soldiers
PANO – A delegation of the Military Commercial Joint-Stock Bank (MB) offered incense at the Truong Bon historical relic site and the Vietnam - Laos International War Cemetery on July 18 in Nghe An province, paying tribute to fallen soldiers who sacrificed themselves in the struggle for national independence and freedom.
At the Vietnam - Laos International War Cemetery, more than 100 delegates also heard stories about Vietnamese volunteer soldiers and specialists who had sacrificed themselves while doing their international service in Laos.
The event, which was part of the 12th program entitled “Return to the roots” conducted by MB, took place for four days (July 15 - 18) to mark the 70th anniversary of the Day for Wounded Soldiers and Martyrs (July 27, 1947 - 2107).
Earlier, the delegation paid tribute to fallen soldiers at the Truong Son National Martyrs’ Cemetery, the Road 9 National Martyrs' Cemetery, the Quang Tri Ancient Citadel in Quang Tri province; and offered incense to General Vo Nguyen Giap at his tomb in Vung Chua – Dao Yen, Quang Dong commune, Quang Trach district, Quang Binh province.
