PANO - Song Thu Corporation of the General Department of Defence Industry launched dredging vessel TSHD2000 built for Rosmorport, one of Russia’s leading companies specializing in seaport services, on November 9th in the central city of Da Nang.

The vessel, which is 80.35m in length, 16.20m in width, having a suction pipe of 600m diameter, and a capacity of about 2,800 GT, is one of the biggest and most modern dredging vessels to take missions in the northern waters of Russia.
According to Senior Colonel Ha Son Hai, the corporation’s CEO, this vessel is the first one built by the corporation for the Russian company. The successful building of this vessel has not only confirmed the corporation’s capability and experience, but also opened up new trade direction for the corporation and affirmed the fruitful ties between the corporation and its Dutch partner, Damen Group.
