On December 28, Nguyen Thi Anh Vien won three gold medals in the categories of women’s 50m backstroke (29.95 seconds), 800m freestyle (9 minutes 9.31 seconds), and 4*100m freestyle relay (4 minutes 26.33 seconds). In addition, her younger brother Nguyen Quang Thuan gained two more gold medals in the categories of men’s 200m butterfly (2 minutes 2.84 seconds) and 800m freestyle (8 minutes 6.74 seconds).

Thanks to the above results, the military team continues leading the tally with 13 gold, five silver, and five broze medals.

The Da Nang team came after with four gold, four silver and two bronze medals. The Ho Chi Minh City team ranks third with three gold, four silver, and three bronze medals.

The tournament will last till December 30.
