In the final men's 10,000m event, athlete Nguyen Van Lai was the first to reach the finish line with 31 minutes 10 seconds 33.

In the men's 3-step jump event, athlete Tran Van Dien won the gold medal after completing the event with a total distance of 15.83m.
Meanwhile, athlete Bui Minh Duong completed the men's 110m hurdles event in 14 seconds 64, winning the gold medal.
In the women's 3,000m obstacle course, athlete Nguyen Thi Oanh from Bac Giang successfully defended the gold medal with a record of 10 minutes 12 seconds 87.
Nam Dinh team completed the women's 4x400m relay event in 3 minutes 41 seconds 60, winning the gold medal.
On the medal tally, with 7 gold, 11 silver and 5 bronze medals, the military team temporarily ranks first, followed by Hanoi team with 5 gold, 8 silver, and 7 bronze medals.
The National Athletics Championship 2021 attracted the participation of 406 athletes including 170 women nationwide. The tourney aimed to evaluate training quality of departments and localities and to select the best athletes for upcoming SEA Games 31 and ASIAD 19.
The tourney took place at My Dinh National Sports Complex from December 9-13.
