Winners of National Press Awards on Culture, Sports, and Tourism honored
PANO - On the evening of August 28, in Hanoi, the Ministry of Culture, Sports, and Tourism held the awards ceremony for the second National Press Awards of "For the Development of Culture, Sports, and Tourism."

Attending the ceremony were Deputy Prime Minister Le Thanh Long; Minister of Culture, Sports, and Tourism Nguyen Van Hung; Editor-in-Chief of Nhan Dan Newspaper, Deputy Head of the Party Central Committee’s Commission for Information and Education, and Chairman of the Vietnam Journalists Association Le Quoc Minh; and Deputy Head of the Party Central Committee’s Commission for Mass Mobilization Pham Tat Thang.
The organizing panel received 894 eligible entries across various journalism categories, including print, online, radio, television, and photo press works.

The submissions not only have a large quantity and diverse topics but also demonstrate high professional quality, involving many central and local media agencies, closely following major themes and vividly reflected the significant events in the 2023-2024 period in the fields of culture, sports, and tourism. Several prominent topics have attracted the attention of many author groups, such as the development of Vietnam’s cultural industry in the new context; the protection of the ideological foundation of the Party in the field of culture and arts, and more. Many of the entries were meticulously prepared, with fresh and engaging presentations attractive to the audience.

Ninety four outstanding works were then selected to be awarded with five first, 15 second, 24 third, and 50 consolation prizes. The People's Army Newspaper won a first prize with the photojournalism work "The Eternal Echo of the Dien Bien Phu Epic" by photographers Nguyen Tuan Huy and Ngo Viet Trung. The press agency also won a third prize with the online article "Developing Cultural Industry – A Golden Opportunity to Elevate Vietnamese Culture" by Tran Hoang Hoang, Tran Thi Hoai, and Nguyen Trung Thanh.
The organizing committee also awarded three collective prizes of equal rank to media agencies with many high-quality submissions.
