Traditional horse race held in Bac Ha Plateau
PANO – The final round of the traditional horse race in Bac Ha district in the northern mountainous province of Lao Cai was held on June 12.
Reportedly, 30 jockeys from mountainous villages in the province have passed the qualifying round on June 5. Four jockeys excellently entered the final round.

As a result, the first, second, third and consolation prizes went to jockey Lam Van Thang (Bac Ha district), Trang A Do (Bat Xat district), Vang Seo Vu (Bac Ha district), and Nong Van Nghinh (Si Ma Cai district), respectively.
According to the organizing panel, the race attracted the participation of more than 60,000 visitors to Bac Ha district.
