Thousands of youths join “LaVie Color Me Run”
PANO - An outdoor event, entitled “LaVie Color Me Run 2017”, took place at Vinhomes Riverside, an ecological urban area in Long Bien district, Hanoi, on April 22, with the participation of over 7,000 youths, including foreigners.
The run was based on India’s Holi, a festival of colors, and organized annually in numerous countries.
In the five-kilometer run, youths were soaked by powders of different colors at each stage and cheered by audiences and music.
At the finish line, they got chance to entertain glowing performances by Vietnamese and international artists.
According to the organizer, the event was not a competition, but a playground of colors which brought joy to participants. It also encouraged youths to live a healthy lifestyle, maintain community connections, and combine entertainment with sports.
After Hanoi, the event will be held in the Sa La urban area in precinct 2, Ho Chi Minh City.
