Thematic display highlights dedications to Great Victory in 1975
PANO - On April 23, the Relic Management Board of Hanoi-based Hoa Lo Prison opened a thematic display entitled “Song of peace,” in celebration of the 50th anniversary of the South Liberation and National Reunification Day (April 30).
On the opening day of the event, the organizer offered incense in commemoration of heroic martyrs at the Monument inside Hoa Lo Prison and gave a briefing on three parts of the display, namely “All for the front-line,” “Opening path for national reunification," “Whole nation full of joys.”

A performance recapturing the past rescue efforts for eight trapped youth volunteers |
Attentively, at the opening ceremony, audiences watched a performance spotlighting the rescue efforts for eight youth volunteers, who worked at Road 20 “Determined-to-Win” in Son Trach commune, Quang Binh province’s Bo Trach district and were trapped in a cave in 1972. After the performance, participants altogether sang the song “Whole nation full of joys” which depicted the glorious atmosphere of the nation celebrating the Great Victory Spring 1975.
The highlight of the display is the space recapturing a system of caves on Truong Son Trail.
On display are a number of documents and images of the nation’s resistance war against the U.S. imperialists under the leadership of the Party and President Ho Chi Minh, during which the North became a strong rear and mobilized all resources to reinforce the South front.

The “Song of peace” thematic display provides viewers with a close-up view of the hard but resilient lives of soldiers, medical staff and youth volunteers who tried their best to ensure traffic flow of the key route despite countless dangers.
Exhibits are evidence of stories of those with bravery and faith engaging in the resistance war and scarifying their lives for today peace of the nation.
The display, lasting until May 31, is seen as deep thanks to heroic martyrs and revolutionaries who devoted their whole lives to the nation. It aims to nurture national pride among younger generations and encourage them to be confident in defending, constructing and developing the country.
