With elaborate investment, the program presented a grand and monumental stage, divided into two blocks representing the North and South, with the iconic Hien Luong bridge crossing the Ben Hai river (Quang Tri province) in the center.
The program utilized a modern soundscape system, combined with laser light effects to showcase impressive scenes such as: Soldiers marching through Truong Son forest, tanks rapidly advancing into the Independence Palace, and boats crossing the Ben Hai river…

Adding to the program’s impact were two T-54 tanks used by the Vietnamese military during the resistance war against the U.S. imperialists, and military trucks which appeared on stage, providing the audience, especially young people, with a visceral sense of the harsh reality of war and the sacrifices made by former generations for the peace of the country.
Meanwhile, audience experienced the heroic atmosphere through musical performances and stage sketches, such as “Loi ca dang Bac” (Songs dedicated to Uncle Ho), “Nhung anh sao dem” (Stars in the night), “Hay yen long me oi” (Rest assured, Mom), “Rung xanh vang tieng Ta Lu” (The green forest echoes Ta Lu’s sound), “Gap nhau tren dinh Truong Son” (Meeting at the peak of Truong Son mountain)…, performed by hundreds of singers, artists, and dancers from both inside and outside the military. These artistic performances evoked a period of national struggle and conveyed a profound message of gratitude to those who sacrificed their lives for the country’s independence and freedom.

An emotional highlight of the program was the journey of “The North-South Promise” undertaken by 120 war veterans who had returned to battlefields of their past. Starting from Hanoi, the group, supported by the national flag carrier Vietnam Airlines, traveled to the Central Highlands, then continued their journey to Binh Phuoc, Tay Ninh, and Ho Chi Minh City, where the footsteps of soldiers were deeply imprinted, filled with memories of the resistance war. The stories from the war veterans’ journey were shown on the stage screens, stirring emotions in the audience.
