The certificate recognized Ms. Nguyen Thi An’s house, where President Ho Chi Minh lived and worked from August 23 to 25, 1945, as a national relic site.

After returning to Hanoi from Viet Bac war zone, President Ho Chi Minh stayed in the house of Ms. Nguyen Thi An to read the Declaration of Independence, marking the foundation of the Democratic Republic of Vietnam, now the Socialist Republic of Vietnam, on September 2.

In that house, President Ho Chi Minh had working meetings with Comrades Truong Chinh, Vo Nguyen Giap, and Tran Dang Ninh on the outcomes of the August General Uprising and the preparation for the National Day.
