Seminar clarifies President Ho Chi Minh’s aspirations for national independence
PANO – A seminar, titled “President Ho Chi Minh’s aspirations for national independence and people’s freedom and happiness,” was held by the Su That (Truth) National Political Publishing House and broadcast live on the house website and Book365.vn on June 9.
The event was part of the national online book festival launched by the Department of Publication, Printing and Distribution to mark the 110th anniversary of President Ho Chi Minh's departure to seek the path of national liberation (June 5).
At the seminar, Prof., Dr. Hoang Chi Bao, a senior expert at the Ho Chi Minh National Academy of Politics, and Dr. Hoang Manh Thang, Director of the Center for Scientific Information and Research cum Editor-in-Chief of the Nhip cau tri thuc (Bridge of Knowledge) Journal, highlighted the significance of President Ho Chi Minh’s journey to the Vietnamese people’s struggle for national independence.
Delegates also elucidated President Ho Chi Minh’s aspirations for national independence, freedom, and happiness of the Vietnamese people as well as the Vietnamese Party’s and people’s efforts and determination to realize his aspirations in the new period so as to build a happy and prosperous nation.
On the occasion, speakers also shared information related to the compiling, editing and publishing of books about President Ho Chi Minh’s life, revolutionary career and the legacies of the Truth National Political Publishing House over the past time.
As reported, apart from reprinting books about President Ho Chi Minh, the Truth National Political Publishing House has closely coordinated with other relevant agencies and scientists to step up the editing and publishing of books about him to promptly meet the growing needs of research and study of Ho Chi Minh's thought, morality and style. In 2021, the publishing house translated the book, “Activities of Nguyen Ai Quoc in the Soviet Union (1923-1938),” into Russian and showcased it at the 16th Saint Petersburg International Book Fair from May 26 to 29. The book’s foreword was written by Politburo member cum Permanent member of the Party Central Committee's Secretariat Vo Van Thuong.
