The contest aims to build and develop reading habits and skills among students, contributing to arousing their passion for books, boosting reading movement among youngsters, as well as promoting reading habits in schools and the community.

Hanoians respond to the reading culture day.

Through the contest, the organizing panel hopes to affirm the position and important role of Vietnamese culture, especially reading culture, in spreading knowledge, improving people’s intelligence and creativity, fostering their personality, shaping a healthy lifestyle, inspiring patriotism, national pride, and aspirations for national development among young generations.

The contest is open to students at high schools, universities and colleges across the country, including military schools and academies, as well as people with visual impairments.

The preliminary round will be held by the General Department of Political Affairs (the Ministry of National Defense), the Department of Party and Political Work (The Ministry of Public Security), the Vietnam Blind Association, the Vietnam Education Publishing House, and other provinces, cities, universities and academies from March 2022.

These units will select and send the most outstanding entries to the organizing board in July 2022.

As reported, the organizing panel will presented the title “Outstanding Reading Culture Ambassador” to four winners, eight A, 16 B, 52 C,180 consolation prizes, and other prizes.

The final round will be organized by the Ministry of Culture, Sports, and Tourism from August to November 2022 in Hanoi.

The closing and awarding ceremony is expected to take place this November.

Under the plan, the contest will be held in line with COVID-19 prevention and control regulations.
