Piano Festival 2011 will be held from October in HCMC Conservatory of Music from October 18th to October 23rd, as part of numerous activities to celebrate the 55th founding anniversary of the Conservatory.
Piano Festival includes various performances, lectures and seminars. Pianist Vo Bao Lac Nhan will present a general introduction of piano history and characteristics, piano schools as well as best music composers with their works on October 18th. Pianist Van Hung Cuong later will have a talk on Franz Liszt to mark this great composer’s 200th birthday on October 19th. Also, Professor Boris Kralijevic and Professor Rena will have lectures on Piano Master-classes to students on October 20th. Besides, there will be numerous performances with solo form and medley form with a participation of outstanding students from HCMC Conservatory of Music and various guests from Vietnam National Academy of Music, Hue Conservatory of Music and other Music conservatories from various countries including US, Montenegro, Bulgaria, Singapore, South Korea and Ukraine from October 21st to October 23rd.
