PANO – The 33rd Sen (Lotus) Village Festival, themed “Offering folk songs of Nghe An province to Uncle Ho”, was kicked off on May 18th in Vinh City, Nghe An province, with the participation of 600 male and female amateur artists from military and civilian art troupes.
The two-day activity is seen as a token of gratitude to great contributions of President Ho Chi Minh on his 124th birth anniversary.
During the event, the art troupes will perform Nghe An province’s folk songs praising Uncle Ho, the Party, as well as the peace-loving nation of Vietnam.
The same day, the Nghe An provincial Film Distribution Centre screened films about Uncle Ho in Nam Giang commune, Nam Dan district, to help local people learn more about Uncle Ho’s life and career.
