PANO - The memorial site for late Prof., Academician, Major General Tran Dai Nghia was inaugurated at a ceremony on May 18th in Tuong Loc commune, Tam Binh district, Vinh Long province, in the presence of Politburo Member and Permanent Member of the Party Central Committee's Secretariat Le Hong Anh.
The site, including a memorial house, an exhibition centre and a library, was built from late 2013 on an area of 16,200sq.m at a cost of approximately VND 51 billion.
Politburo Member Le Hong Anh reaffirmed that Prof. Tran Dai Nghia has always been a bright example for his revolutionary morals and an excellent student of President Ho Chi Minh.
The Party official urged the province's authorities and people to continue bringing into play their revolutionary traditions by learning and following the professor's example, contributing to fulfilling tasks of the local party congresses at all levels for a strong province.
In addition, he suggested that they should have plans to well manage the relic, contributing to building it as a place for educating young generations on the national revolutionary traditions, as well as a historical and cultural centre in the area.
