The Hung King Museum will be opened on April 13th, 2010, or 10 days before the 2010 Anniversary of the Death of King Hung, according to the Phu Tho Provincial Culture, Sports and Tourism Projects Managing Board.
Having started in late 2007, the project consists of 19 sub-projects that cover 15,000 square meters. The largest sub-project is the exhibition house, which is modeled after the ancient northern people’s stilt-house.
There are 3 main sections in the museum: the introduction of Phu Tho nature and people from the primitive times up to now; themes showcases; and open-air displays.
Officials said that the museum, with a total cost of VND 165 billion, is also one of the local projects to observe the 1,000 anniversary of Thang Long-Hanoi.
