PANO – On August 1st, the Thai Binh provincial People’s Committee, in collaboration with the Vietnamese Association of Historical Sciences, held a scientific seminar titled “Life and career of Great man of culture Le Quy Don”, to mark his 290th birth anniversary (August 2nd).

Le Quy Don (1726-1784), born in Phu Hau hamlet, Doc Lap commune, Hung Ha district, Thai Binh province, is a symbol of Vietnam’s spirit and intellect with great dedications to the political, cultural and educational development causes of the nation.

Participants reviewed and discussed his life and career, reconfirming his merits and talents, and honoring his contributions to national culture.

The seminar also aimed to build on the perfect portrait of the nation’s genius. The organizers also held various activities such as offering incense at his memorial site, displaying his works, holding art programs to revive Le Quy Don’s life and career.
