Exhibition held to mark 60 years of Agent Orange/Dioxin Disaster
PANO – The Central Committee of the Vietnam Association for Victims of Agent Orange/Dioxin (VAVA), National Action Center for Toxic Chemicals and Environmental Treatment, Office 701, Vietnam Museum of Military History, in coordination with the International Center for Research and Postgraduate Training in Mathematics and Vingroup Innovation Foundation, on July 13, launched an exhibition to mark 60 years of the “Agent Orange/Dioxin” calamity.
Senior Lieutenant General Tran Quang Phuong, Deputy Director of the General Department of Politics and Senior Lieutenant General Nguyen Van Rinh, former Deputy Defense Minister and VAVA Chairman, attended the opening ceremony.
The exhibition showcased 300 images, documents, simulation models, and artifacts, featuring four main contents.

Addressing the event, General Rinh underscored that the exhibition aimed to help compatriots, overseas Vietnamese, and international friends learn more about toxic chemical consequences on the environment and human health and the great efforts of the Party, State, military and VAVA.
Via this exhibition, the organizing panel would like to call on international friends to join hands to overcome war aftermath in Vietnam, give assistance to Agent Orange victims and fight for their justice.
The activity has political and social significance, observing the 74th Fallen Soldiers' and Martyrs' Day and 60 years since the beginning of the Agent Orange/Dioxin disaster.
