The event was attended by member of the Secretariat of the Party Central Committee (PCC) and Head of the PCC’s Commission for Communication and Education Nguyen Trong Nghia, Chairman of the Central Committee of the Vietnam Fatherland Front Do Van Chien, and Deputy Prime Minister Vu Duc Dam.

After two years of implementation, as of October 20, the organizing board received 2,090 entries from more than 100 press agencies via five categories: print newspapers, online newspapers, radio, television and photography. The organizing board decided to award 80 press works.

The 80 works all had impressive contents and forms with valuable ideas, conveying meaningful messages to the society and community, in line with reality. The works contributed to promoting the spirit of solidarity and creativity among the people, for the common goal of building and firmly consolidating the great unity in the whole nation.

Awarding A prizes to the winners

During the ceremony, the organizing board awarded the outstanding works, including five A, 14 B, 29 C and 32 consolation prizes.

Especially, in this year’s contest, the People’s Army Newspaper had four works awarded, including one A, one B, one C and one consolation prizes.
