According to a press release from the Royal Government Spokesperson Unit on June 7, the negotiations took place from June 4 - 6 in Washington, D.C., during which both sides exchanged views and discussed the draft agreement with great mutual understanding.

The Cambodian delegation was led by Sun Chanthol, Deputy Prime Minister and First Vice Chairman of the Council for the Development of Cambodia, and Cham Nimul, Minister of Commerce. Sarah Ellerman, U.S. Assistant Trade Representative for Southeast Asia and the Pacific, headed the U.S. side.

They agreed to convene a third round of negotiations shortly, also in Washington, D.C., the statement noted.

The statement also underlined that the Cambodian Government will continue to cooperate closely with the U.S. to achieve a mutually beneficial trade and investment relationship.
