Localities across the country launched various tourism promotion programs in a safe and flexible adaptation and effective control of COVID-19 pandemic.

In the year, Vietnam’s tourism sector was honored with many prestigious international awards. Especially, the World Travel Awards recognized Vietnam as Asia’s leading destination and Asia's leading sustainable tourism destination in 2021. The recognitions are considered a golden chance for Vietnam to popularize its image as a safe and attractive destination to international visitors and contribute to bringing its tourism activities back to normal in 2022.
