Garlic growing on Ly Son Island
PANO – Ly Son island district in Central province of Quang Ngai has long been known as the “Kingdom of onion and garlic” with around 300 hectares of cultivated land devoted to these aromatic vegetables.
Over the past time, in spite of difficulties and price fluctuations, the district’s garlic and onion production enjoyed remarkable results with the yearly average output of 1,650 tons.
Annually, the turnover from onion and garlic contributes greatly to the development of the district.
PANO would like to introduce a number of photos showing the growing and harvesting of onion and garlic by in Ly Son district.
