A passenger has his luggage checked at Tan Son Nhat International Airport. 
Of the sum, VND 2 trillion (USD 88 million) have been earmarked for the second phase of expansion of the Tan Son Nhat airport’s international terminal.

Another VND 2 trillion will be used to expand terminals and apron of the airport in the southern resort island of Phu Quoc, so that it can serve 5 million passengers per year, meeting the demand of the increasing flow of tourists to the Pearl Island.

Meanwhile, Noi Bai International Airport in Hanoi is set to receive VND 1.2 trillion (USD 52.8 million) for upgrading.

This year, the ACV aims to welcome 27 million international and 64 million domestic arrivals, while total cargo throughput is expected to reach 1.18 million tons.

It also targets to increase the total flights for 2017 by 11 percent from last year to 617,000.
