Tourist destinations which drew the most number of visitors in the period include Buon Don Tourist Center, Ko Tam Ecotourism, Ako Dhong village, Dray Nur and Dray Sap waterfalls, Troh Bur Orchid Reserve and Yok Don National Park.
Nguyen Duc, manager of the Buon Don Tourist Center, said the surge in the number of visitors to the center was attributable to favorable weather during the Tet holidays. The center welcomed 30,000 holidaymakers between February 16 and 22 (the first and seventh day of the lunar New Year).
Aside from annual activities, this year, the tourist center also introduced a space of gong culture in the Central Highlands, as well as other traditional instruments and local cuisine to visitors, he added.
In early February 2018, the provincial Department of Culture, Sports and Tourism instructed all tourist destinations, restaurants and hotels to prepare tourism personnel and not to overcharge visitors.
