An Giang province has had many production and business linkage models that both provide vocational training and create on-site jobs for female workers in ethnic rural areas such as the Ka tum cake making team of Khmer women in O Lam commune, Tri Ton district; the Cham women's Maspok scarf sewing and embroidery team in Chau Phong commune, Tan Chau town; the Cham women's sewing team, the Cham women's cake making team in Da Phuoc townlet, An Phu district. These models have helped hundreds of local Women’s Union members have stable income and their family’s lives improved.

Ha Ly Mah, a member of the Maspok scarf sewing and embroidery team in Chau Giang hamlet, Chau Phong commune, said that in the coming time, the team would open more classes to equip more Women’s Union members with sewing and embroidery skills.

In Van Giao commune, Tinh Bien township, the Van Giao Khmer Brocade Weaving Cooperative has gathered skilled workers to guide local Khmer ethnic women, creating jobs for them. The cooperative's products with high aesthetic value and good quality have drawn attention of many domestic and foreign tourists. As a result, Khmer women here have stable jobs and income.

According to Le Bich Phuong, Head of the provincial Women’s Union chapter, by the end of next year, Women’s Union at all levels in the province will have carried out more models to promote gender equality and solve urgent issues that local ethnic women and girls face. More dissemination sessions will be also organized to raise awareness of genders, helping enhance the role of ethnic women and girls in the province.
