At least 95 percent of children are expected to be vaccinated under the national expanded immunisation programme. The mortality rate among under-five-year-old children is hoped to drop by 18.5 per 1,000 and for under one-year-olds 12.5 per 1,000.

The proportion of underweight children under five years old is set to be kept below 20 percent, with the obesity rate among adults under 12 percent.

More than 90 percent of the population are expected to receive health management and 95 percent of medical stations at communes, wards and towns will implement prevention, management and treatment of some non-communicable diseases.

The country expects to have 30 hospital beds, 10 doctors, and 25 nurses per 10,000 people by 2025.

By 2030, it aims to basically put an end to AIDS, tuberculosis and malaria. More than 90 percent of the population are expected to be satisfied with medical services.

The CPV Central Committee also promulgated a resolution on reforming the management, improving quality and operational efficiency of public service institutions, and a resolution on reshuffling and streamlining the political system at its sixth plenary session, which took place in Hanoi from October 4-11.
