The provincial Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee has been assigned to conduct a comprehensive review of housing needs among eligible residents and to coordinate efforts to compile a unified dataset for effective implementation.
Localities have been urged to diversify resource mobilization, combining state funding with contributions from social organizations and the broader political system to support local residents.
Oversight is also being strengthened to ensure construction quality, prevent wastefulness and losses, and keep the work on schedule. Additionally, efforts are being intensified to recognize and promote exemplary contributions to the initiative.
According to the steering committee, 1,059 households in Vinh Long are in need of housing support, with 378 requiring new houses and 681 needing repairs.
As of February 18, construction had begun on more than 300 homes, with 20 already completed. The province continues to work closely with local authorities to accelerate construction and repairs while upholding quality standards.
The provincial Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee and various social and political organizations have been actively engaged in mobilizing financial resources to expedite progress.
