Troubled fishermen saved at sea
PANO – The medical staff of the Binh Dinh provincial Border Guard Command and crewmembers on board Ship Cuu Long 09 of the Cuu Long Shipping Company safely took Huynh Phi Manh, an injured fisherman, to the port of Squadron 48 in Hai Cang ward, Quy Nhon city, on September 26.
Manh had his hand and leg injured while working on trawler BD 99389 TS with 11 other fishermen.

Receiving the information, the provincial Border Guard Command asked the Binh Dinh provincial People’s Committee to send Ship Cuu Long 09 and its medical staff to the scene.
On September 25, the ship approached the trawler and took the injured fisherman to the ship for first aid. Manh was later taken ashore for treatment.
* On the same day, the Maritime Search and Rescue Coordination Center of Region III announced that its rescue ship SAR 272 took Dang Van Luyen, an injured fisherman, ashore for emergency treatment.
Luyen, 39 from Kien Giang province, was injured while fishing at sea.

Having received information from TG 92628 TS’s captain, the Vietnam Maritime Search and Rescue Coordination Center guided the fishermen to give Luyen first aid and sent ship SAR 272 with a medical team from the Ba Ria-Vung Tau Border Guard Command on board to the scene.
The patient was then taken ashore for further treatment.
At present, Luyen is recovering well.
